Epoxy resin or resin is a fluid material that can be created by mixing two parts A & B that are matched to each other. After mixing the 2-parts liquid resin and hardener, a chemical reaction is set in motion that usually lasts several hours. Curing hours are vary from type to type depending on the manufacturer.

After mixing the two parts with each other, not only heat is radiated, but the material is also converted from a liquid to a solid. Usually, the mixing ratio of resin to hardener is 1 to 1 or 1 to 2, also there are many other ratios which are determined by the manufacturer and you can find the instructions on the Resin container clearly.

Many terms you can find for the resin such as: epoxy resin, synthetic resin, casting resin, laminating resin, art resin, clear resin, geode resin, or just resin.

Different epoxy resins or casting resins, each with individually different properties, some are special for art purposes which are save to use as a home décor and some are for construction purposes that can be used as a flooring or vanities or eves as adhesives as the resin is most strong adhesive that you can know ever.
